Meadows Place Police Chief to Head Houston Area Association

Meadows Place Chief of Police Mike A. Baker has been elected to serve as President of the Houston Area Police Chiefs’ Association (HAPCA) for 2011. He previously served in board officer roles with the association, having served as Treasurer in 2008 – 2009 and Vice President in 2010.

The HAPCA is comprised of executives and management personnel from law enforcement agencies throughout the Houston metropolitan region.

Police Chief Baker’s law enforcement career spans 34 years. He has served as chief of police at two police departments representing 23 years of his career. He holds a bachelor of science degree in police science and a master of science degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University. Chief Baker has served as Meadows Place’s chief of police since 2007.
